I wish people didn’t think silence was awkward, just enjoy it. Not every space has to be filled with words.
What makes God real in my life isn’t doing Christian stuff and posting Tumblr quotes and scripture. Going to church and Christianity community doesn’t make God real in my life. God is real when I’ve received the mercy and grace of God through faith in the truth in secret, behind closed doors when no one is looking, and pouring out mercy and grace through my life lived.
I don’t know about you, but I greatly desire to see beauty in everyone, no matter what they say or do to me. And I know it’s possible because Jesus, who lives, did it and He said, “follow Me.” :)
I want to see the beauty He sees in everyone….
9/11 today here in NYC. Please continue to pray for the family and friends of those who died on this day,13 years ago. And please continue to pray over this city because God is going to (and is already) doing great things and He belongs here.
